Big Red’S New World Order Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
I Am the Big Red Barn, part I, begins this trilogy. It is a factual fantasy of the life and times of Big Red, told in his own words when it was discovered by a three-year-old boy that this sixty-five-foot majestic barn could telepathically converse with him. Yes, walls can talk, and Big Red tells his life story from the time he was constructed in 1919 on a small dairy farm in Mormon Country, Utah, until it approached its one hundredth birthday. The Impossible Campaign, part II, contains a series of articles and stories based on the authors perspective, which depict the phenomenal circumstances surrounding a nonexperienced politician yet successful business mogul who lays waste to a field of career Republican presidential politicians, captured every news cycle for over eleven months, and consequently created a ground-swell movement by millions of his supporters to become victorious in his primary campaign. 2021 Our New World Horizon, part III, continues where part I left off and continues to the futuristic time of 2021 when Big Red became the inspirational conduit to help change the entire landscape by creating a new world horizon.

Making Sense Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
Reading is all about understanding. Many English language learners simply do not understand what they are reading, whether it's a picture book, a literature selection, or a science textbook. Juli Kendall and Outey Khuon believe that small group comprehension lessons have a key role to play in advancing students' understanding of texts.Making Sense provides answers to many common questions asked by teachers of English language learners: How do we organize small-group comprehension instruction? How do we select books to teach strategies? How do we know our kids are getting it--and what do we do when they don't get it? It is an easy-to-use, practical resource for ELD, ESL, and ESOL pull-out teachers, and for push-in teachers working "in-class" to support English language learners. The book's five main sections are geared to the stages of language proficiency, and lessons are divided into 'younger' and 'older' students, spanning kindergarten through grade 8. The authors outline fifty-two lessons that teach students how to make connections, ask questions, visualize (make mental images), infer, determine importance, and synthesize. Each lesson follows a four-part teaching framework: Start Up/Connection--helping students build background and use prior knowledge to connect to the lesson; Give Information--explicitly telling students what they are going to learn and why they are learning it, and then teaching them; Active Involvement--often occurs during the teaching as students practice what they are learning while the teacher checks for understanding and monitors and adjusts instruction; Off-You-Go --opportunities for students to practice what they learned with peers or independently. Making Sense also explores the stages of language proficiency through descriptions of ten English language learners of different ages. A chart of student characteristics for each stage shows how students demonstrate understanding and outlines the implications for planning instruction. This book will appeal to experienced teachers seeking to expand their repertoire of lessons, as well as new teachers just beginning the adventure of teaching comprehension to English language learners.

Elementary, My Dear Gertie Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
In this novella sequel to the award-winning Talk Gertie To Me, two years have passed since the happily-ever-after that isn’t doing so well. Nori Stedworth has moved in with the love of her life, Mackenzie Randolph, much to her parents’ displeasure. They’re coping as best as parents from Ten Commandments, Iowa can. They want Mac to make an honest woman of their daughter, and that means nothing short of marriage. Mac is all for exchanging I do’s. He’s even bought the ring, but before he can pop the question, an explosion hurls him and Nori right into the middle of a murder investigation. Gertie, Nori's alter-ego, can't help but lend her acerbic wit to the twists and turns as the town is turned upside down in the search for a murderer and arsonist, and yet another scandal envelopes the not-so-pious residents of Ten Commandments.

She decides to concentrate on her job as a registered nurse and close her heart to love to avoid having her heart broken again. Quint Sterling is a handsome doctor who had served in Vietnam. When he returned home from Vietnam, he found that his wife had not waited for him. He was welcomed home with divorce papers. His heart and dreams were shattered. He swore off women for fear of being hurt again. God has other plans for Kay and Quint. When the pretty young widow and the handsome doctor meet, there is an instant attraction between them. Even though Quint is fifteen years older than Kay, the couple bonds. It is as if their broken hearts reach out to each other. Neither of them is looking for love. They become close friends. Their friendship becomes the most important part of their lives. This is a story of how love can mend broken hearts and restore broken dreams. The Romeo Peach Festival Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
In 1813, Michael Bowerman built a cabin two miles south of what later became Romeo. Bowerman carried a small number of peach pits from his fathers farm in New York, introducing the popular fruit to Macomb County and establishing the roots of todays Westview Orchards. In 1931, hoping for an economic boost, area orchard managers convinced village president Edward Jacob to create a festival. Jacob embraced the idea and traveled to northern Michigan to study the Michigan Cherry Festival in Traverse City. Upon his return, the first annual peach festival was held with much success with the cooperation of local merchants. Held on Labor Day weekend in Romeo, and called the Romeo Peach Festival by the locals, the Michigan Peach Festival has been sponsored by the Lions Club since 1951 and is the second-oldest festival in the state. In honor of the 75th anniversary, a collection of over 200 photographs has been assembled, including images of Peach Queens, the Floral Parade, and the surrounding orchards.
