Pierogi Love Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

Explores the possibilities of pierogies with the editor of the website Good. Food. Stories. and this array of recipes. This tasty tribute to the pierogi takes a familiar wrapping and stuffs it with a host of unconventional, innovative, and decidedly non-traditional fillings. With 60 sweet and savory recipes that include everything from the classic Polish cheddar and potato offerings to American-inspired Reuben pierogies and fried apple pie-rogies to worldly fillings like falafel and Nutella, there's a pierogi for every party and every palate! Each recipe comes with a charming story from Barber's extensive explorations in pierogi flavors. “What I adore about Pierogi Love is that it does for pierogies what my blog has done for cupcakes—it pushes the boundaries of pierogies. The book begins by sharing a basic savory and a basic sweet pierogi dough and detailing assembly, cooking, and storage procedures. Then, it moves on to the fillings. This is where the book gets fun!”—Stefani Pollack, writer & recipe developer, Cupcake Project “I must say these pierogies are a great option to have available at your holiday festivities.”—Kristina Gill, food & drinks editor, Design Sponge, and author of Tasting Rome

SOS: Need Pierogi Desperately! Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

The most learned healthcare professionals and researchers cannot even agree if a virus is alive or not. Politicians and government leaders could not care less if the virus is dead or alive as long as it is useful to claim the prize of political power and earthly control of our country’s citizens and Republic. Bacteria and viruses have been with us since the beginning of creation. In the beginning, everything was good and worked together. After the fall, all of creation was cursed. Good and evil now coexist. There are good viruses and bad viruses. Good viruses kill bad bacteria and give us immunity to bad viruses. Bad viruses rearrange and reassort to act as “powerful counterforces” to the human population. The pandemic virus of 1918 lives on, as will the coronavirus of 2020, as the microscopic and macroscopic forces and the unseen and seen forces of good and evil fight until the end. Evil and bad will not win in the end as God’s hand is always on top of His creation and in total control. His grace continues to be abundant. He even directs particles of viral DNA and RNA, encased in HA and NA, to choose reassortments that favor optimal transmissibility over lethal pathogenicity. Even “bad,” possibly nonliving viruses “know” that when they kill their hosts or incapacitate them, they have reached a dead end, and who wants to end their “lives” that way? Not even viruses. God’s Natural Law will not be smashed by humanity or by viruses. Humanity and viruses will ultimately be smashed by the Natural Law. Even if politicians and learned scientists and researchers do not understand that coronavirus will never leave either, we need to learn to live with it. True wisdom begins with the fear of God and not the fear of coronavirus.

Inspired by Ingredients Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle

Bill Telepan is passionate about ingredients. He wants to know where his food comes from and how it's cared for before it finds its way into his pots and pans and onto the table. A familiar face at greenmarkets, he personally knows the men and women who sell there. He buys locally and cooks seasonally. Hailed by Gourmet magazine as "one of the most thoughtful chefs in Manhattan," Telepan says, "It's about flavor first," and creates inventive, mouthwatering dishes that celebrate the seasons and showcase the best that local farmers have to offer. In Inspired by Ingredients: Market Menus and Family Favorites from a Three-Star Chef, Telepan, who was chef of Midtown Manhattan's JUdson Grill for six years and cooked at such three- and four-star restaurants as Le Bernardin, Le Cirque, and Gotham Bar and Grill, shares his passion in a cookbook that is both exciting and resoundingly practical; it is full of bold, enticing flavors and sound everyday advice for shopping and cooking. There are chapters for every season, each composed of three theme menus, a special-occasion menu, a make-ahead meal, as well as recipes grouped by ingredient or technique, such as peas in the spring and preserving in the summer. The chapter Dishes for All Seasons includes recipes that satisfy no matter what the calendar says; and there are classics from Bill's restaurant menus, such as The Chicken and Potato-Crusted Crab Cakes. Whether it's a dessert inspired by a favorite childhood treat or a fresh, elegant twist on spaghetti carbonara, each dish is wonderfully appealing and truly delicious. There are profiles of Bill's favorite farmers and suppliers, and wine notes from distinguished wine expert Beth von Benz accompany each recipe. Illustrated with Quentin Bacon's glorious photographs, Inspired by Ingredients brings the freshest flavors of the market to the table and will inspire home cooks everywhere.

For more than fifty years, customers have crowded into Veselka, a cozy Ukrainian coffee shop in New York City's East Village, to enjoy pierogi, borscht, goulash, and many other unpretentious favorites. Veselka (rainbow in Ukrainian) has grown from a simple newsstand serving soup and sandwiches into a twenty-four-hour gathering place, without ever leaving its original location on the corner of East Ninth Street and Second Avenue. Veselka is, quite simply, an institution. The Veselka Cookbook contains more than 150 recipes, covering everything from Ukrainian classics (potato pierogi, five kinds of borscht, grilled kielbasa, and poppy seed cake) to dozens of different sandwiches, to breakfast fare (including Veselka's renowned pancakes), to the many elements of a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve feast. Veselka owner Tom Birchard shares stories about Veselka's celebrity customers, the local artists who have adopted it as a second home, and the restaurant's other lesser-known, but no less important, longtime fans, and he offers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to serve five thousand gallons of borscht a year and to craft three thousand pierogi daily---all by hand. The Veselka Cookbook will delight anyone with an interest in Ukrainian culture, New York City's vibrant downtown, and the pleasures of simple, good food.
